Have you been working on your knitting, only to look down and think “aww… fudge!” (or something stronger)? You aren’t alone. We spend a lot of time learning to knit and perfect our technique, and far less time working on unknitting – taking out our stitches to correct an error. We will learn different methods for fixing our knitting, discuss when to use which one, and learn the vocabulary and slang used in unknitting.
What We’ll Cover: Unknitting (tinking), ripping out rows, and picking up dropped stitches
Class Materials: Worsted-weight yarn and US7 (4.5mm) needles, a circular needle at least 3 sizes smaller, a crochet hook or knitting repair tool, locking stitch markers
Homework: Cast on 25 stitches with US7 (4.5mm) needles, work in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) for about 4 inches. Keep the stitches on your needles.
