Most knit and crochet design can be a difficult process, with few resources to help a designer establish best practices or find answers to questions. Designer’s Circle is a monthly gathering for designers in the fiber arts to share ideas, and inspiration and to provide support and camaraderie as we work on our designs. Similar in spirit to a writing group, members will share their designs, provide help and support to each other, encourage all members and celebrate their successes. Designers of all levels are welcome.
While the topics discussed will be a reflection on what members need from each other, it will include all aspects of the design process, such as project management, inspiration sources, pattern drafting, size grading, swatching, photography, submitting to publications, and self-publishing.
Members sign up for each 4-month cohort. It is expected that members will abide by a confidentiality agreement to protect each member’s work. Meetings are on the second Thursday of the month, from 6:30-8:30.
