Increases and decreases in your knitting are essential skills, especially when it comes to lace and making garments that fit. In this class, we will learn several single-stitch and multiple-stitch increases and decreases in both knit and purl, why you might want to use different ones, and how to place them in your knitting. The stitches we will knit are focused on stitches appropriate for both lace and sweater knitting but can be used in all sorts of knitted pieces.
Materials: You will need about 50g of a DK or worsted weight yarn, with needles that are the right size for you and your yarn.
What we'll cover: 10 increases and 10 decreases, including paired stitches, lifted increases, centered double-decreases, right- and left-leaning stitches, knit and purl increases and decreases, and how to use them all
