Discover the artistry of lace knitting in our Lace Knitting Fundamentals workshop.  Perfect for beginners or those looking to establish an understanding of lace knitting, this class offers a delightful journey into the intricate world of lace patterns.

Under the guidance of our expert instructor, you will learn the fundamentals of lace knitting, including reading lace charts, executing basic lace stitches, and understanding the principles of shaping and blocking lace projects.  Through hands-on practice and step-by-step demonstrations as you knit a lace scarf, you'll gain confidence in working with fine yarns and delicate stitches.  Unleash your creativity and bring a touch of sophistication to your knitting repertoire with the timeless beauty of lace.

Materials: One skein of fingering weight yarn, at least 438 yds (400 m), a US 4 (3.5 mm) knitting needle, stitch markers, a row counter (if desired), embroidery floss or dental floss, a tapestry needle, and sticky notes or highlighter tape.  The pattern will be provided.

What we’ll cover: Stretchy cast-ons and bind-offs, following a written pattern, reading charts, counting rows, increases and decreases, fixing mistakes, using lifelines, finishing techniques and blocking lace
